The history of Sandhamn Seglarhotell dates back to the 1800s. Today it is run by the couple Johanna Nordström and Marcus Wallén, who has a background at some of Stockholm’s most iconic restaurants.
The kitchen has been completely revamped under the new management. With inspiration from the sea, master chef Thomas Omfors creates a menu based on fresh ingredients, great craft, and a strong sense of the archipelago.

How to get here
Sandhamn is located farthest out in Stockholm’s central archipelago, just before the open sea begins. There are regular boat trips to the island several times a day, in summer and winter. Even when the ice is thick.
The boats with Waxholmsbolaget and MS Tärnan go from Stavsnäs Vinterhamn at Värmdö. In the summer, the Cinderella boats go directly from Stockholm city. Click on the links below to get the exact times.
